Zack Scott

Zack looking off to the side

Hello, I'm Zack Scott, and welcome to ZackScott.net. This website is the home for my collection of online videos and other creative work. My interest in videos was sparked in 2005, and since then I've been prolific enough to produce over one hundred of them. They usually vary in substance and quality, but I try to make each one entertaining. Most focus on comedy, education, or my cute pets.

I'm asked about my pets a lot. I have two cats, Otto and Egon, and a chihuahua named Isabel (Izzy for short). I actually got into making videos after I uploaded a few clips of Otto. From there I started filming more and more until it became a full-blown hobby. Today, many of my videos feature my animals even if they don't really call for it.

Some of my videos belong to different video series. My most popular series is the Amazing Facts series which includes two of my most watched videos ever. "Amazing President Facts" and "Amazing Nintendo Facts" have both been featured on YouTube's front page and have both been viewed over one million times. Additionally, I have made a few episodes of The Dogs with my friend Samuel Seide, and I have recently started Brock and Zack Review the Movies with my friend Brock Wood.

My online video hobby has branched off into a professional interest as well. I have been active in the world of consumer generated advertising, and I am a member of the XLNTads Creator Advisory Board. I love the idea of working with a company to create something uniquely my own while promoting a brand. A great example is my "Mentos Gremlins Parody" video that was made possible thanks to Mentos.

Thanks for checking out my website. Most of the fun I have in creating videos is hearing from you guys. Feel free to contact me, leave comments, or subscribe to me at various sites such as YouTube. Listed below are some cool highlights about myself that I'm fairly proud of. Have a great day!

  • I am one of the top earning producers on Metacafe. I have been active on the site since it first launched its Producer Rewards program.
  • Aside from the Amazing Facts series, I am working on The Dogs with my friend Samuel Seide and Brock and Zack Review the Movies with my friend Brock Wood. Yes, I still keep in touch with my high school friends!
  • For two months in 2006, I hosted a news video podcast titled Zack Scott Reports. It was co-hosted by my friend Brock Wood when he was deployed to Iraq. Yes, he really was in Iraq! I know it was a comedy show, but that was no joke.
  • Like the music in my videos? A lot of it is from IB Audio, but when I need a really awesome custom tune, I turn to my friend and musician Bryan Murdaugh. Check out "Mentos Gremins Parody" for a taste of what he can do.
  • I like entering contests! I won five prizes (including second place) in Stephen Bochco's Cafe Confidential contest sponsored by American Apparel. I also won prizes for the following Poptent contests: Brand Affinity Technologies, ProQuo, The Amazing Pitch, XLNT ChocoBana, and XLNT XCell.
  • I love the idea of consumer generated advertising. I've previously worked directly with Mentos and XLNTads to create videos for their brands. For a great example, check out "Mentos Gremins Parody." It has received over 200,000 views on various sites.
  • My pets Otto, Egon, and Izzy have gained a large following on the Internet. In fact, my most popular videos feature them! Coincidence? I doubt it.
  • In 2006, my video "Tom Green Flyers" was aired on an episode of Tom Green's live Internet show Tom Green Live.
  • I've been known to make some crafty and technical how-to videos. They are the closest videos that reflect my professional career as an electronics engineer. I graduated with a degree in computer engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
  • ZackScott.net has gone through some changes in the past several years. In 2000, it began as a website that featured daily personal photos. In 2002, it launched under this domain as a blog, photo, and music site. Eventually, I decided to completely redo it in 2007 as a video site!
